Hi All,

Some of you are not yet taking advantage of the new site so you’ve missed some announcements:

  • On Thursday, October 20th, Jena gave birth to Molly Elizabeth Jung at 2:10 PM, EST.  Molly weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 20 3/4 inches long!  Jena and Molly are both doing well.  Lucas on the other hand is in deep poop!  Our well wishes go out to all!
  • Woody turns 73 and is in NC to watch his grandson’s soccer team – Yep he’s a softy.  I believe he was born in 1938.
  • Bonnenkai is  Saturday, December 17th.  It is not mandatory but all are welcome and if enough express a desire then I can make plans….
  • Shinnenkai is January 14, 2012.  We also have our business meeting at this time.  It is a perfect time to rededicate yourselves to training and to start the new year off right.  In any event please advise your intentions as to whether you will make it or not.
  • Ned, Clint, Vic, do let your people know about all of this as they might not be on the list to learn these things directly from me.  It might be helpful if you supply full lists of names and email addresses and I’ll simply add them to the broadcast list.  Please do not assume that I’m organized and competent enough to have your folks listed already.
  • Oddly, I’m out of Scotch.  I have my suspicions as to how this happened.  Usually we’re a fairly constrained crowd but the Irish Fairies took part in celebrating Doc’s kakejiku!
  • Congratulations to Doc on his hard work in mastering the Shindo Muso Ryu.
  • Don't forget YOU were going to send me good dates and bad dates as we look forward to next year!
  • Last but not least:  Good Job.  I thought that the seminar went well and that you all demonstrated some consistently improved waza.  Let me share John S.'s comment too:  "Rick -

Great seminar, as usual.  Working on midore dome was very helpful (found my session with Ned to be very productive, at least when I remembered to slow down).  It's always a great group to do budo with ...

    Thanks,

    John  (MIDAREDOME :-) "
